It was a challenge to the last chip that involved Nicola Todesco (photo below), the day's chipleader, and Giancarlo Imperati, second in the count just 1,000 chips behind.
Si è trattato di una battaglia giocata su due tavoli diversi, ovviamente, anche se entrambi erano consapevoli dello stack dell'avversario nelle ultime tre mani e in un certo senso, anche se non c'erano premi in palio, volevano chiudere in testa al count.
Todesco si è imposto nonostante abbia perso un piatto nella penultima mano e domani pomeriggio tornerà con 523.000 chips, il secondo miglior stack dopo il chipleader Niki Prela.
I numeri di oggi? 96 iscrizioni e 24 qualificati, che portano il totale a 81 giocatori sicuri di partecipare al Day2.
The Top 5
If Todesco and Imperati look down on everyone with 523,000 and 522,000 chips respectively, Giuseppe Lomastro can nevertheless declare himself satisfied with his performance: 501,000 chips for him and third place in today's count, 4th in the overall count.
Fourth and fifth places go to Domenico Romano (390,000) and Matteo Fortunato (357,000). Andro Scarpa (winner of the Grand Final last 21st February) also qualifies, 7th with 304,000.
Mario Ripepi of Team "Perla Lovers" (16th at 186,000) also passed, as did the two members of Team EvBets: Fabrizio "xxxAngel" Marancio (13th at 232,000) and Daniele Casino (22nd at 68,000). Below is the complete list of the 24 qualifiers.
