Just enough time to recover from the celebrations of the EPM Euro Poker Million, and it’s time for poker again with the return of the BPC Balkan Poker Circuit at the Perla Resort & Entertainment in Nova Gorica.

The summer edition features a guaranteed prize pool of €100,000, but the real novelty is the possibility to play it all in one day on Sunday. The structure indeed includes a regressive formula on Day 2, scheduled for Sunday, August 4 at 1:30 PM, allowing those who were eliminated to re-enter for 4 levels. Most importantly, it offers the opportunity to play the entire event on Sunday by entering at the start (with a late registration for 4 levels) with 50,000 chips and starting again from level 1000/2000 (40/60 min.).

The best player today was the Slovenian Tim Kovačič (pictured below), who managed to bag 745,000 chips. Here are his statements at the end of the day.

“It was all very simple and fun. I didn’t make any great plays, and basically, the entire Day 1 tonight can be summarized in 3 hands played straightforwardly without inventing anything. I am happy, but we know very well that it is just a satisfaction for the first step. See you on Sunday, energized and rested.”

La Top 5

Second place with 632,000 chips is the Italian David Collotta, who distances the rest of the field by 300,000 chips; third place goes to Sadiku Genti with 353,000 chips.

The top 5 is completed by Davide Marchioro (319,000) and Todorovic Nedeliko (296,000).
