🇵🇹 Tiago Alexandre Jesus Luis crushed Day1 C!

Entries 144/ Left 22

The third day of games here at the GC Poker Room in Bendern, Liechtenstein has concluded, along with the third flight scheduled for this week, Day 1C. Today saw 144 entries, with 22 players qualifying for Day 2.

Portuguese player Jesus Luis Thiago Alexandre (pic below), the standout performer, collected 790,000 chips. Here are his impressions at the end of the day:

"The day started rather unremarkably; I didn't have many opportunities to build my stack, but I managed to stay around the average. Towards the end, however, I hit a hand that brought me up in the count. Given the chip leader bonuses, I decided to cold call a 4-bet with pocket fives, investing about a fifth of my stack. Fortunately, I hit a five.

Thanks to that hand, I got over 600,000 chips; from then on, it was just a matter of managing my stack. I am a professional player, playing both online and live. I've been travelling a lot recently and have participated in several tournaments in Spain and France.

This is my first time here in Liechtenstein, and I must say it went pretty well for the first time, as I managed to win the chip leader prize. Let's hope for continued success in the coming days."

The Top 5

For the top five positions, aside from Jesus Luis Thiago Alexandre, the day's chip leader, we have Swiss player Stefan Kasper, with 576,000 chips, who earned a prize of 3,000 francs. Dritan Kaleci followed him with 455,000 chips and won a prize of 2,000 francs.

Another Swiss player, Agustin Ratiu, with 426,000 chips, and French player Kevin Caner Pichet, with 388,000 chips, complete the top five. Below is the complete list of all 22 players who qualified for Day 2 from Day 1C.
