Finalmente Alessandro Scermino. Dopo un secondo e un terzo posto sempre qui al Perla Resort di Nova Gorica stavolta vince il main event IPS #1 2019, conquistando la prima moneta di 115.000 euro (c’è stato un deal in heads up con il runner up Nicola Angelini che vince 90.000) e battendo “NICOANGE91” dopo un torneo durissimo. Ben 2.462 entries e una prize pool di oltre 771mila euro compresi i 30.000 euro dei bonus chipleader e 116 ticket per la Grand Final IPS del dicembre 2019.
Ecco com’è andato il final table:
Pronti via esce quasi subito Alaminos Torres che viene pescato in coin flip da uno dei due leader del count di inizio final table, Michele Caroli che chiama l’all in dello short spagnolo con coppia di 6♠️6♥️. Torres ha A♣️K♦️ ma il board dice Q♦️6♦️7♦️K♠️4♠️. Torres ci lascia per un premio di 11.500 euro.
E’ il momento di Francesco Erba, intanto, che come più short del tavolo aveva già rosicchiato un sacco di posizioni e si ritrova tra i sette left. Arrivano anche i raddoppi, prima contro Nicola Angelini che deve chiamarlo per forza essendo assai short, e poi contro Manuel Chierici incastrato in uno scontro 77 vs. 44. Si riporta poco sotto la media.
Ma Andrew Kings gliene porta via un po’ in uno spot davvero singolare. L’irlandese ha KK ed Erba K10. Il board è 8-8-A-K-10. Il river convince Erba a pagare una value bet dell’irlandese che ridimensiona l’italiano e sale nel count.
Ancora Angelini, poi, fa raddoppiare nuovamente Erba chiamandolo con 7-8 offsuited contro Asso-X e due Assi sul board.
Lotta e si dibatte ma ci pensa ancora King a mettere in regola l’azzurro chiamando i suoi resti A♣️9♣️ contro K♠️J♠️ e questo è il board che manda sul rail Erba per una cifra di 16.000 euro: A♦️6♣️6♠️K♠️5♣️.
Rocambolesca l’uscita di Manuel Chierici che non aveva mal figurato in questo IPS 1 2019. Si infila in uno spot con 10-5 Caroli ma c’è anche Vodovec con 10-8 e Manuel setta i 7 su un flop 6-7-9. Si va rotti al flop e passa Caroli. Non cambia nulla turn K e river 5 e Chierici si deve “accontentare” di 22.000 euro.
Iniziano a darsele di santa ragione King, Vodopivec e Angelini. C’è un maxipot di Angelini che dimostra la sua grande forma e la sua concentrazione che unita alla tecnica di base compongono un mix importantissimo. Con Q10 chiude una scala al river dove scende un Asso che convince alla fine Vodopivec a pagare una valuebettata da 6,9 milioni di chips! In questo spot vola a 61 milioni di gettoni!
Poi toccherà a Michele Caroli ed è ancora Andrew King a metterci chips e faccia: A♠️K♥️ vs A♣️3♣️ e board favorevole sempre all’irlandese: 7♥️9♣️Q♦️A♥️6♣️. Per Caroli una posizione peggiore dell’IPS Grand Final di dicembre ma un premio migliore, ben 30.000 euro.
Nonostante l’action e le “taglie” prese, King lascia il torneo in quarta posizione. Sliding doors per Scermino che vince, prima, un coin flip contro Angelini che stava per chiudere il torneo volando su 80 milioni di gettoni: JJ vs AK e Asso seconda carta del flop per Scermino che si riporta in quota!
L’irlandese esce, quindi, in due mani. Altro capolavoro di NICOANGE91 che entra in un colpo in bvb con 6♦️7♦️ e trova il call di King con A♦️3♦️. Flop 5♥️ 4♣️ A♠️. C’è il raise di Angelini sulla buttata al flop che sconvolge un po’ i piani di King. Al turn scende un 4♥️ e al river un 3♠️ che chiude la scala e Angelini riesce a tirare fuori valore accorciando l’irlandese.
Poi la mano decisiva contro Scermino che chiama Andrew con A10 contro K10 e il board è inutile mandando King out in quarta posizione per 41.000 euro.
Arriviamo poi sul flop 3♦️3♥️4♥️ e Angelini con A♥️A♦️ betta 1 milione di chips. Rimasto con 12 milioni lo sloveno manda tutto con Q♥️7♥️ e ovviamente NicoAnge gioca! Un 2 e un Q al turn e al river non cambiano la situazione e mandano a casa un ottimo player come Voidopivec in terza posizione per 55.000 euro.
L’heads up si mette subito benissimo per Angelini che da una proporzione in chips 2 a 1 passa a 3 a 1 e poi addirittura a 5 a 1. Poi super pot ancora per NICOANGE91 che betta 11 milioni di chips su un pot di 10 milioni con Q8 e si porta sempre più in vantaggio.
Poi, il colpo che cambia tutto il torneo. E’ cresciuto con qualche colpo Scermino e Angelini chiama un suo all in con AJ e trova allo showdown A9. Un 9 a faccetta porta Scermino a 48 milioni contro i 75 di Nicola.
Ci sono un paio di 3bet fold di Angelini che lo accorciano ancora e arriviamo al colpo decisivo. K3 per Scermino che hitta two pair sul board e Angelini va in bilateral con J10 su KQ3. Un 3 al turn chiude il full per Scermino mentre Nicola deve metterle tutte al riverdove esce un 9 che gli chiude la scala.
Tutto finito, Scermino vince con 115mila euro e 90mila ad Angelini dopo un aggiustamento in heads up rispetto al payout originario.

Alaminos Torres is almost immediately released and he is drawn in coin flip by one of the two leaders of the final table, Michele Caroli, who calls the all in the Spanish short with a pair of 6 ♠ ️6 ♥ ️. Torres has A ♣ ️K ♦ ️ but the board says Q ♦ ️6 ♦ ️7 ♦ ️K ♠ ️4 ♠ ️. Torres leaves us for a prize of 11,500 euros.
It is the moment of Francesco Erba, meanwhile, that as more short of the table had already win a lot of positions and finds himself among the seven left. King, Vodopivec and Angelini are starting to give them their best. There is an Angelini maxipot that demonstrates its great shape and its concentration that together with the basic technique make up a very important mix. With Q10 closes a straight to the river where an Ace drops that convinces Vodopivec at the end to pay a valuebetted 6.9 million chips! In this spot flies to 61 million coins!

Then we arrive on the flop 3 ♦ ️3 ♥ ️4 ♥ ️ and Angelini with A ♥ ️A ♦ ️ bet 1 million chips. Left with 12 million the Slovenian sends everything with Q ♥ ️7 ♥ ️ and of course NICOANGE91 plays! A 2 and a Q on the turn and river do not change the situation and send home a great player like Voidopivec in third place for 55,000 euros.
The heads up is immediately great for Angelini that from a proportion in chips 2 to 1 passes to 3 to 1 and then even to 5 to 1. Then super pot again for NICOANGE91 that bet 11 million chips on a pot of 10 million with Q8 and leads more and more ahead.
Then, the shot that changes the whole tournament. He grew up with a few stroke Scermino and Angelini called his all in with AJ and found at the A9 showdown. A 9 brings Scermino to 48 million against Nicola's 75.
