Entries 601/ Left 76

The most crowded flight of the weekend has just wrapped up at King’s Resort Rozvadov, as Day 1G of the France Poker Festival (FPF) Main Event came to a close with a total of 601 entries. By the end of play, 76 players secured their ticket to Day 2, which will resume tomorrow at 5:00 PM.

The standout performance of the day came from Thiago Santos Martins of Portugal, who bagged 1,109,000 chips, placing him second overall in the tournament chip counts, just behind Mitja Pasutto, the chip leader from Day 1F.

"It was a calm and steady day for me. Right from the start, things went my way. Most of the action pre-flop was in my favor — I’d open, get four or five callers, and then they’d often fold on the flop. If not, they’d give up on the turn or river. The table was overfolding a lot, so I just kept the pressure on, and everything flowed smoothly.

The bubble was a bit slow, but it turned out to be a really important phase. I think I picked up around 400,000 to 500,000 chips during that time. I knew it was a good moment to take advantage — people were tightening up, and I stayed active.

Right now, poker is my full-time job. I don’t do anything else. I also speak Spanish and Italian, so I feel pretty comfortable in these international events. Today went great — I’m happy with how I played."

Rounding out the top five is Italy’s Gianluca Simari, who bagged 606,000. Below is the full list of the 76 players who advanced to Day 2 from Day 1G.
