Entries 174/Left 26

🇮🇹 Day 1C of the IPS – Italian Poker Sport – 55th edition, featuring a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000, has just wrapped up at the Casino di Sanremo. A total of 174 players entered, and 26 of them advanced to Day 2, which will be played on Monday.
The best performer of the day was French player Daniel Haddad, who bagged 963,000 chips, the equivalent of 80 big blinds, after eliminating the 27th-place finisher, just outside the money prizes, in a hand where he held pocket kings against his opponent’s ace-king, winning the all-in while ahead. After bagging up, here’s what he told us:

“I fired two bullets. But the second one went really well. I’m actually the one who just knocked out the bubble boy. I had two kings, he had ace-king, and I managed to win the pot.
Earlier, I won a big hand with pocket nines. That helped me build some momentum. Then I had another key hand with pocket kings against fives. The board came 7-3-4, and he tried to bluff me. I called all the way and took it down.
I’m not a professional, just an amateur. I work in real estate. But this has been a great experience so far, and I really hope to make it to the final table.”
Top 5
Behind Haddad, the top 5 of the day includes Paolo Bonfanti with 600,000 chips, Jean-Pascal Bellance with 580,000, Mohamed El Meknassi with 516,000, and Czech player David Taborski with 504,000.
Below you’ll find the full list of the 26 Day 1C survivors who will return for Day 2.
