Day 2 of the WSOP Circuit Main Event has come to an end. The day began with 107 players returning to the tables at blinds 4,000/8,000, and only 24 players managed to advance to Day 3, which will resume today at 2:00 p.m.
It was a tournament with a deep and well-structured format, offering plenty of play throughout the day. By the end of the session, Ukraine’s Rostyslav Savishchenko emerged as the chip leader, bagging 3.1 million chips, the equivalent of 76 big blinds for the start of Day 3.

Only one Italian player made it through to Day 3: Marco Di Persio, who had qualified earlier in the day via the Turbo flight. All other Italian contenders, even those who started the day with solid stacks, fell short of expectations and were eliminated before the top 40.
Among them: Lulei Hu (42nd), Fabio Peluso (43rd), Matteo Intiso (44th), Peter Hilmer (48th), Morris Bonazza, Alessandro Picchieri and Simone Pegolotti (53rd, 54th and 55th), followed by Mauro Pomponi (71st), Claudio Di Giacomo (80th), Michi Blasi (82nd), Roberto Manfredi (91st), Davide Suriano (92nd), Antonio Fragale (100th), Gennaro Proscia (102nd) and Manuel Ferrari (106th), the first Italian eliminated on Day 2.
Among the notable names still in contention are Zdenek Zizka, chip leader of Day 1E, currently fifth with 2.2 million chips (53 big blinds), and Romanian regular Ciprian Paunescu with 1.6 million.
Top 5
The Top 5 at the end of Day 2 is led by Savishchenko, followed by Vitezslav Cech (2.7 million), Georgios Vrakas (2.7 million), Iman Ghashayar (2.4 million), and Zdenek Zizka (2.2 million).
