After a never-ending final day of more than 16 hours of play, both in terms of quality of decisions and sheer physical and mental endurance, Andre Winkler Arnold took down the Euro Poker Million Main Event, outlasting a field of 7,302 opponents.

The German regular at King’s Resort Rozvadov and Euro Rounders events closed it out after an equally marathon heads-up against Gennaro Proscia, who put in an outstanding performance throughout the tournament. The Italian fell just one spot short of back‑to‑back titles at King’s, having already shipped the Pirates Poker Treasure in November 2024. Proscia did, however, make it into the three‑way deal, which locked up €300,000 apiece for all remaining players. The final trio – Arnold, Proscia and Ondrej Goetz – then played on for an extra €100,000 up top plus the Euro Rounders “fiore” (trophy/additional prize).

It’s an incredible result for Proscia, a high‑skill player who dodged countless bullets on the final day before securing a massive payout.

Fifth place went to the Italo‑Chinese player Xiaojie Ye, who cashed for €107,000. The German “Bruce Lee” went from chip leader to busting in 6th place for a €78,500 payday, falling well short of the expectations many had for him.

Andre Arnold commented: “EPM is the best tournament I’ve ever played, thanks to its 80‑minute levels, the field and the prize pool. I won a WSOP Circuit Ring in recent months, but this is an incredible achievement, not just because of the huge first prize. I love Euro Rounders events and I’ll be back for the IPS from August 18th to September 1st, with €1.5 million guaranteed.”

Up to now Winkler Arnold had around $200,000 in live earnings; with €427,700 locked up in a single event he has effectively doubled his bankroll. Poker is not his main job, but this score gives him a life‑changing bankroll boost and could reshape his future as a player.
