Entries 313/Left 39

Day 1D of the €2,000,000 GTD Euro Poker Million (EPM) wrapped up slightly ahead of schedule here at King’s Resort Rozvadov, after a strong turnout of 313 entries. Another 40 players have secured their spot for Day 2, which will play out next Sunday.
Topping the field today was Germany’s Megasiggi—the only name we need to remember for this flight. The German crusher bagged a monster stack of 1.200.000 chips, soaring past the 1 million mark and setting himself up as one of the top contenders heading into Day 2. Here’s what Megasigi had to say at the end of his day:

“I had a really good feeling coming into today. Yesterday I played the Mystery Bounty and finished as second chip leader, so my goal for today was clear: I wanted to be the chip leader this time. That’s how I approached it right from the start.
The key to this performance? I had a good breakfast, slept well last night, and felt great overall. Everything just clicked at the tables—I also ran well, which always helps.
There were a couple of key hands that stand out. Twice, I hit a set of fours in big pots, and both times it paid off massively. Those were definitely the turning points of my day.
I don’t play poker professionally, not really. I come here about five times a year, and I usually play around Hamburg. Bagging the chip lead feels great, and now I’m looking forward to Day 2!”
