Entries 1188/Left 149

Day 1G, the busiest flight of this Euro Poker Million so far, has come to an end here at King’s Resort Rozvadov. With an impressive 1,188 entries, the field was packed from start to finish, and after hours of action, 149 players bagged their chips and secured a seat for Day 2, scheduled for Sunday.
At the top of the leaderboard is Germany’s Mirky Mark, a player better known for his nickname than his real name, who closed the day with an outstanding 1,551,000 chips. Right behind him is Croatia’s Mario Galic, who we managed to catch for a quick chat as the chips were being bagged.
Galic shared his satisfaction with how the day unfolded, especially after securing one of the two bonus tickets awarded to the top two finishers: one for the German Poker Days and another for the upcoming Shark Bay €1,000,000 GTD hosted by EuroRounders.

“It was a pretty rough day for me at first. This was actually my second bullet, and for most of the day, nothing seemed to work. Then, at one point, things finally turned around. I picked up a few big hands—aces, kings—and from there everything started going my way. After that, the day really turned out well.
I really like this structure. Starting tomorrow, it’s going to be 80-minute levels, and that’s perfect. It’s deep, it gives you space to play around, adjust your strategy, and really make moves at the table. I prefer this kind of format.
This is probably my fifth time playing this tournament… and I feel like it’s about time I make a final table.”
Top 5
Completing the day’s top performers were two Italians, Ermanno Di Nicola, who bagged 1,433,000 chips, and Alessandro Picchieri, close behind with 1,426,000. Rounding out the top five was Hungary’s Lazio Esto, who managed to secure 1,109,000 chips in his bag.
It was a long and intense day of poker, with big stacks emerging and plenty of familiar faces still in the mix. Below, you’ll find the complete list of the 149 players who survived this morning’s marathon session and are now one step closer to a deep run in the €2,000,000 GTD Main Event.
