Entries 453/ Left 55

The Day 1H flight of the France Poker Festival (FPF) Main Event came to a close well past midnight, capping off a long day of play with 453 total entries. By the end, 55 players secured their seat for Day 2, which will resume on Sunday at 5:00 PM.
Leading the way was Czech player Lucas Klima, who bagged 944,000 chips — enough not only to top the Day 1H leaderboard but also to secure two bonus tickets awarded to the chip leader of each flight.
However, the spotlight also falls on Italian player Andrea Tucci, who ended the day in fourth place after a dramatic late-game swing. Tucci had been leading the chip count until the final three hands, seemingly in position to claim the chip leader bonus. But in a turn of misfortune, he was bumped off the podium in the final moments, just missing out on the extra prize.
Despite the disappointment, he still bagged a strong stack and took it all with the right attitude. We spoke with him right after the bags — here’s what he told us.

It went well. The key hand was one where three of us were involved. There was an initial raise, one player called, and I flat-called with pocket kings — I didn’t shove. The flop came with an ace. One of them bet 25,000, the other — who had Ace-Queen — also called the 25,000. I had kings and thought, “maybe a king hits on the turn,” so I called too.
And the king really did come on the turn. He bet again, then moved all-in — he had 400,000 behind. Of course, with a set of kings, I shoved. The other player folded. He showed Ace-Queen.
Yes, I was lucky — objectively, I was behind on the flop. But with pocket kings, I put in 25,000 into a pot that had already grown to 250,000!
It’s not the first time I’ve gone deep in one of these events. Two years ago, at the French Festival, I made it to the Final Day — so that went well too. That’s why I came back. Let’s see how it goes… step by step.
Top 5
As for the Top 5 from Day 1H, Czech player Lucas Klima leads the pack with 944,000 chips. Right behind him is Germany’s Gino Fakih, who closed with 907,000, followed by fellow Czech Milan Kalijanko with 809,000.
In fourth place, as mentioned earlier, is Andrea Tucci with 793,000, having led the count until the final three hands of the day. Rounding out the top five is another German, NimaBjan, who bagged 704,000.
Below, you’ll find the full list of the 57 players who advanced to Day 2 through Day 1H.
