Entries 72/ Left 11
The second flight of the festival, Day1 B, ended at 3:15 am on the dot, as planned, sending 11 more players to Day2 out of a total of 72 entries. We also remind you that the chip leader of the first 3 Day1s and the winner of the last longer (for those who registered through our site) will win a ticket for the next Eureka Poker Tour.
As in the last editions, the first Day 1s didn't reach astounding numbers. Often it's also a strategic question: some prefer a larger field to be able to accumulate a considerable stack and some others, instead, prefer to give action with fewer players and bring a stack to the next Day without too many worries.
Among them is Italy's 'Profiler910' (pictured above), today's chip leader and a frequent visitor to EuroRounders tournaments:
"It's not even the first time I've been on the cover for finishing Day 1 as chip leader!" - says the star of the day - "How did it go today? I entered Level 5 with about 75BB and after doubling up almost immediately, I fell to 15BB.
From then on a few small pots and a showdown that got me about 200k. Next up was a 3-way showdown against two short-stacks, where I found myself with 3-3 against K-Q and A-J. A 3 on the board gave me a set and two player-outs, allowing me to climb almost to 600k.
Then I tried to push but couldn't increase the stack and in the end, I can say I'm satisfied with how things went. I'm going back to Monaco to my family and I'll be back on Sunday for Day 2!"
The Top 5
Right behind 'Profiler910' is Bernd Dieter Walter Delois at 457,000, followed by NIZAR Abu Daoud at 421,000.
Rounding out the Top 5 are Andreas Roeder (418,000) and Sasa Jelenic (395,000). Regular 'Mephisto' also passed the Day with 267,000. Below is the complete list of today's qualifiers with their stacks.
