Writer: Stefano AtzeiStefano Atzei

Entries 7007/ Left 169

Day 2 of the IPS Italian Poker Sport Main Event has just wrapped up, with an impressive 7,007 entries narrowing down the field to 169 players advancing to Day 3, rather than the Final Day. Due to the massive turnout, the tournament will extend until Tuesday, with the final table set to be streamed live on our YouTube channel.

The chip leader at the end of the day is Poland’s Marcin Kacprzak, who bagged an impressive 6,110,000 chips. Here’s what he had to say at the end of the session.

It was a great Day 2. I started with less than 400,000 and managed to build my stack little by little, pot after pot. I had a few fortunate spots, like a flush against a straight.

I’m not a professional yet, but I’m working on it. I play online, and over the last four years, I’ve also focused on live poker. My biggest score so far? €40K. Hopefully, I can do even better here!

Top 5

In addition to Marcin Kacprzak, who leads with 6,110,000 chips, the Top 5 includes Giorgio Soceanu, an Italian-Romanian with 5,915,000, followed by another Italian, Joseph Bruscella, with 5,300,000.

Completing the Top 5 are Dutch player IbraKadabra with 5,175,000 and Greek player Thodoris Barimpas with 5,055,000. Below is the full list of the 169 players who advanced from Day 2 and will return tomorrow for Day 3 of the Italian Poker Sport Main Event.
