Entries 755/Left 76

The first of today’s two scheduled flights concluded shortly after 11 PM. Day 1E recorded 775 entries and sent 76 players through to Day 2, which will be played next Sunday. All of them are already in the money, securing at least €500.

The standout performer of the day was Poland’s Sebastian Andrzej Kotowicz, who finished with 1,229,000 chips, also claiming a €1,050 ticket for the Super Main Event awarded to the chip leader.

Here is what the day’s protagonist told us right after bagging:

“Everything went according to plan. It was a great day, I managed to play my game and I was also very lucky — you always need a bit of luck in poker. I’ve been playing this game professionally for quite some time, so hopefully things will go well on Day 2 as well.”

Looking at the top five, behind Kotowicz with 1,229,000, we find Austria’s Alben Sprotter with 1,186,000, followed by Daniele Santaniello with 1,096,000.

Completing the top five are H.K. from Great Britain with 900,000 and another Italian player, Vinico Sinicropi, with 800,000.
