Entries 976 / 98 Left

With 98 players qualifying out of 976 entries, the last starting flight has wrapped up before the Day 1I Turbo at 11 AM and the Flip & Go Pineapple. The total field has reached 6,012 entries for a prize pool of €3,015,018 – a number that will keep growing until 5 PM, when Day 2 of the EPM Main Event gets underway.

The Day 1H chip lead is Italian: Ugo Gasparini edges fellow countryman Riccardo De Marchi by just 15,000 chips after spending the whole day among the leaders. They bagged 1,599,000 and 1,584,000 chips respectively.

WSOPE bracelet winner Sokratis Linaras sits in third with 1,416,000, followed by Alexander Luciani and Andrei Lukacs, who was a standout throughout Day 1H. The Romanian, sitting on 800,000, called off two 300,000 all-ins from players holding A-K; Andrei scooped the pot with 5-6 to move into the chip lead.

Also in the top ten is Czech reg Anh Do with 1,351,000, and German player Tommy, another big name from this flight.

Making it through after firing multiple bullets are Nicola Sasso with 978,000 (he lost A-K vs T-T near the end), Davide Ranzani on 802,000 and Gianluca Cabitza, who closed out a great finish with 782,000.

Around the average stack are Massimo Broggi, Tommaso Fornasiero and Coco, just behind Sergio Di Ruberto. Also through is Dario “Bonzo” Nittolo with 420,000, a healthy 42x for Day 2 blinds at 5,000/10,000/10,000.

It’s 12 big blinds for Maurizio Saieva after several bullets, while Chiara Crescimone is once again the victim of a dramatic endgame: two cashes for her, but she’ll go into Day 2 with the 50,000 bagged on Day 1E – just 5x.
