Day 1E, the final turbo-format flight of the France Poker Festival (FPF) Main Event, has just come to an end at 4:30 PM, after a deep run that stretched all the way to Level 15, with blinds reaching 15,000/30,000 ante 30,000.

A total of 43 players earned their spot for Day 2, which is about to get underway. Despite the redraw process preventing us from obtaining the exact chip counts, the top performer of the flight was Romanian player Ciprian Paunescu, who we briefly spoke to just after bagging to get his impressions on the day.

"This is the kind of day you don’t plan — it just happens. I was supposed to leave this morning, but the weather got nice again, so I decided to come back to the casino. I sat down at a cash game and hit quads right away. That’s when I told myself: “Alright, this is the moment to register for the turbo.”

So I jumped in, played my game, and ended up finishing as the chip leader. Let’s go!

Funny enough, just recently, I was playing a tournament where I was down to less than one big blind, and I won it! Poker really is a rollercoaster."

Unofficial Chipcount

Due to the lack of official stacks and final counts, we invite you to check the full Seat redraw at the link below, which includes all Day 2 qualifiers except those from the turbo-format Day 1I.

As for today’s Top 3, behind Paunescu we find Karlovarsky Kral from the Czech Republic in second position, followed by Italian player Francesco Candelari in third. These three players also secure the two bonus tickets awarded for the top stacks of the flight, redeemable at upcoming events here at King’s Resort.
