Entries 290/Left 37

The Day 1D Speed of the IPS Italian Poker Sport Main Event wrapped up around 4 a.m., closing a long session that brought in 290 entries and produced 37 qualifiers for Sunday’s Day 2.
Seventeen levels were played, and by the end of the night it was France’s Kilik Fatih who topped the field, sealing the bag with 1,280,000 chips. Here's what he told us at the and of the day:

“Today I just wanted to play my game. I wasn’t overthinking anything — I was relying on instinct, making hero calls, hero folds, just trusting my feeling at the table. I’m not a professional; I play mainly for fun. I usually play in France.
I’m from Lyon, but I came here with friends from Paris. We met up, arrived together around 6:30 this evening, and honestly the day couldn’t have started better for me. Now I can even play the Omaha event tomorrow, so that’s great.
I also had a huge hand that really changed my tournament. That guy opened, I 3-bet, and he went all-in. I had kings and about 500,000 chips at that moment, and he was the chip leader. I called, held, and that double-up set the tone for the rest of my run. So yes, everything went really well today.”
