Entries 240/Left 30

After a bubble that stretched close to two hours, Day 1C of the People’s Poker Tour Main Event has come to an end. The flight drew a total of 240 entries, with 30 players securing their spot for Day 2 on Sunday.

Topping the chip counts is Romanian regular Stefan Drusca, one of the only players to bag over one million chips. A familiar face here at King’s, Drusca shared a few words about his day in the post below.

"It was a great day overall, even though I got off to a rough start in Level 2, losing a blind vs. blind spot where I overplayed my hand a bit against a set. Fortunately, I managed to recover pretty quickly and the rest of the day went really well.

There was a huge hand where the player to my right opened from the Low Jack and I 3-bet to 13x with pocket tens. He called, and the flop came K-5-2. I c-bet around 25% and he called again.

The turn was a ten—basically a dream card, although it did bring a flush draw. I bet again, around 35% pot, and he called once more. The river was a 7, he checked, I bet one big blind with 25x behind, and he jammed. I called—and he turned over pocket fives. Let’s hope Day 2 brings more good things!"
