Entries 242/Left 31

Day 1D of the People’s Poker Tour Main Event wrapped up shortly after 3:00 AM, adding 242 entries to the overall count and sending another 31 players through to Sunday’s Day 2, which kicks off at 5:00 PM.

Numbers were nearly identical to the morning flight, with Poland’s Adrian Ziemichod bagging the chip lead at 973,000. The experienced grinder shared a few thoughts as he sealed his chips at the end of the night:

“The key hand? Three players away from the bubble, a guy from Romania opens, I have Q-Q in the small blind and 3-bet to 75,000. He 4-bet shoves for 300,000 with J-T suited.

After the hand, he told me he did it because he thought I was being more aggressive than usual to apply bubble pressure. Let’s just say… not the best timing.”

Top 5

As for today’s Top 5, just behind Ziemichod is German player Roland Haddad—winner of the last EuroRounders event—who found another deep run here at King’s Resort, closing with 746,000.

Goofy, also from Germany, takes third with 716,000, followed by Georgia’s Merab Meladze at 698,000 and German regular Pistol Pete with 661,000. Below is the full list of the 31 players who made it through Day 1D.
