Entries 278/Left 34

Day 1G — the Turbo flight played this morning — came to a close just before 5 PM, with 272 entries and 34 players advancing to Day 2, which is now about to kick off. That brings the total number of entries in the Main Event to 1,899, with a €124,000 top prize and a €10,350 WSOPE Main Event ticket awaiting the winner.

While today’s Top 5 chip counts are not yet available, all eyes were on one man: Salvatore Signorelli. At 90 years old, he delivered the most memorable performance of the day, bagging over 1.2 million chips. His final hand was a stunner — a flush-over-flush cooler against Romanian player Moussa in a pot worth nearly a million.

“I’m not sure if I’m actually the chip leader of the tournament, but I’ve got about 1.2 million, so maybe I am. Today went really well — much better than the other flights, that’s for sure. The other days… they just didn’t go my way, got crushed every time. But hey, better like this.

I played three flights before this one and busted all of them. This one went way better — no need to overthink it. I even won the last hand with a flush-over-flush — pretty nice to end the day like that.

It’s my first time here in Rozvadov, came with a group of friends. People say I’m ninety years old… and yeah, I’m still around! All good.”

With that kind of energy and chip stack, Signorelli isn’t just today’s standout — he’s quickly becoming the story of the tournament.

Day 2 Seat Redraw (except Day1 G qualifiers)
