Entries 441/ Left 10
It was an intense day at the Casino of Velden, where Day 2 of the SharkBay Main Event, with a guaranteed €200,000 prize pool, took place.
The final available flight, Day 1E Turbo, was also held in the morning, and Slovenian Mitja Rudolf led the field. Out of a total of 441 entries, after two days of play—combining all five Day 1s—only ten players remain to contend for the € 40,000 first prize and the Eurorounders trophy.
Leading the way again this evening is Juan Veralasco, already the chip leader from Day 1C, who stays at the top with 4,575,000 chips. Here are his thoughts at the end of the day:
"How did it go? Amazing! I came in well-rested and had the chance to relax by exploring the area and taking some nice walks outdoors. It really helps me stay focused before a demanding day.
The first table was fairly easy, with several short stacks. My strategy was to play a very tight range, knowing I might have to call an all-in.
Thanks to my stack, I shifted gears in the bubble phase and tried to apply a lot of pressure on the short stacks. I avoided getting into pre-flop situations and focused on finding the right spots to play my post-flop game.
Many people underestimate the importance of pay jumps in this stage and end up playing preflop showdowns too easily, ignoring that every elimination means a higher payout and decisions carry much more weight. Tomorrow? We’ll see what I can pull off…😉"
The Top 5
In second place, Mitja Rudolf's remarkable performance, with 4,400,000 chips, is noteworthy. The Slovenian registered at the last possible moment for Day 1E Turbo after trying several times in previous days. You can read about some of the key hands on our blog by clicking on THIS LINK.
In third place is Lucas De Pasqualin, the chip leader from Day 1D, with 2,900,000 chips, followed by the German player ‘Goodluck’ with 2,120,000. Rounding out the Top 5 is Austrian Norbert Hajos, with 1,875,000 chips.
Below is the list of the ten remaining players who will compete for the €40,000 first prize starting at 1 PM tomorrow.
