The Day 2 of the Shark Bay Main Event, with a guaranteed prize pool of €1,000,000, wrapped up around 4 a.m. after recording 2,936 entries. Only 35 players bagged chips for the Final Day, where they will compete for a €152,500 first prize along with a ticket for the upcoming WSOP Europe Main Event, once again at King’s Resort in Rozvadov.

Leading the survivors is German player Natascha Sieppmann, who managed to close the day with an impressive 8,200,000 chips, nearly three times the tournament average. Here’s what she told us at the end of play:

“Am I really the chip leader of the tournament? I didn’t know that, but that’s great! It’s really nice to play here, there are so many different players and the atmosphere is fantastic, I really enjoy it.

I started with about 360,000 chips and now I’m up to 8,200,000. The key hand was one where I won a pot of over 5 million: I hit a flush against my opponent and that really changed the course of my tournament.

I’ve been to King’s many times, I like it a lot here, the service is perfect.

No, I don’t play professionally, I’m more of a recreational player, but I have a lot of fun. The biggest prize I’ve won so far is around €30,000, so I hope to do better tomorrow. It’s a big opportunity and I’ll try to make the most of it.”

As for the Top 5 chip counts, alongside the already mentioned Natascha Sieppmann with 8,200,000, we find Romanian Catalin Paul DyaC on 7,900,000, followed by Ukrainian Valerii Kalynych with 6,550,000.

In fourth place is Polish player Karol Józef Guzla on 6,435,000, while rounding out the top five is Greek Ittai Gluska with 5,960,000. The full list of the 35 survivors who will return tomorrow for the Final Day will determine who takes home the top prize.
