The final table of the WSOP Circuit Main Event has come to an end in Sanremo after a long and intense battle. The €1,500 event drew 171 entries, and it was the French-Tunisian Gregory Grech who claimed the title, completing a wire-to-wire run that saw him finish as chip leader in every single phase of the tournament — from Day 1D to Day 2, all the way to the final victory.
Heads-up play ended with a deal, which awarded Luca Bernardi a payout of €128,307, while Grech secured a total of €130,000, plus €8,892 and a €5,000 Bahamas package added to his winner’s prize.

The final day
The Final Day began with 11 players left, and it didn’t take long for the first eliminations to arrive. The French player Léo Cognet was the first to fall, followed shortly after by Simon Politovski, which brought the field down to the unofficial final table. To reach the official final table, however, one more knockout was needed — and it came with the elimination of Alessandro Confalone.
Confalone had played an excellent tournament until the hand that ended his run: he check-shoved from the big blind holding 10–6 on a J–J–6 board after the c-bet from Luca Bernardi, who was sitting on A–J and quickly called. With trips against bottom pair, Confalone’s tournament came to an abrupt end in ninth place, forming the official final table lineup.
Once the final eight were seated, the first to leave was Alon Zagury, taking home €21,551, followed by the first Italian of the group to fall, Claudio Daffinà, who earned €27,500.
Fabien Motte and Hassan Halil exited in fifth and fourth place, cashing €35,650 and €46,300 respectively.
One of the standout performers of the entire festival, Alessandro Orsi, saw his run end in third place for €79,000 after getting his stack in with top pair against a flush draw that completed on the river.
Heads-up play began with Luca Bernardi slightly behind, 17 million against 24 million held by the chip leader Gregory Grech, and the duel lasted barely half an hour. Grech maintained control throughout the match, eventually sealing the victory and claiming the WSOP Circuit Main Event ring.
It was a deserved win for Gregory Grech, who showed exceptional consistency and dominance across the entire event, from Day 1 to the final hand.
