Tue 14 Jan - 00:00 - Adrian Cazacu leads the 9 finalists!
The WSOP Circuit Main Event Day 3 concluded precisely at midnight, with the starting field of 40 players reduced to 9 after 10 hours of play. Action will resume tomorrow at blinds of 80,000/160,000 with a 160,000 ante and an average stack of 6 million chips.
Italian Michele Tocci was eliminated as the final table bubble, in a rather unusual spot. Big blind William Samuel Todisco, second in chips then, stepped away from the table for a brief break, leaving Tocci on the button to face only the small blind after everyone else folded. Tocci shoved his remaining 13 big blinds and was called by the small blind. It was Ace-Jack against pocket threes, and with an ace and jack on the board, Michele Tocci was eliminated in 10th place. He takes home just over €20,000, including a ticket for the upcoming WSOP Europe Main Event.
Romanian Adrian Kazaku has the highest chip count, with over 13 million chips, more than double the tournament average.

Since the last update, the situation has changed significantly, with Germany’s René Schnitzler taking the lead with 12,100,000 chips, followed by Adrian Cazacu with 9,100,000. Sun 12 Jan - 16:30 - Approaching the first break, what a bad beat for Proscia!
As we approach the first 30-minute break of the day, 180 players remain out of the 1,100 total entries in the WSOP Circuit Main Event Day 2. The tournament boasts a €1,037,850 prize pool, with €172,000 reserved for the winner. Players are currently battling it out at Level 3,000/6,000 with a 6,000 ante and 75-minute levels. Eight levels are scheduled to be played today, and the average stack has climbed to 308,000 chips.
Unfortunate news came early in the day for Gennaro Proscia, who found himself in a massive pot that would have made him the chip leader but lost with 96% equity on the turn. The hand played out as follows: Gennaro decided to three-bet after an open and a flat. The original raiser folded, and the flatter called. The flop came 9-3-5, and both players checked.
On the turn, a 10 appeared, prompting Gennaro to fire a near pot-sized bet. His opponent responded with a raise all-in, and Gennaro snap-called with K-K. His opponent revealed 5-5. A shocking 5 on the river gave his opponent a Set, securing an enormous pot of around 800,000 chips and eliminating the Italian, a former Pirates Poker Treasure champion, who had won that very event here just a few months ago.
