Day 2 of the WSOP Circuit Main Event has come to an end here in Sanremo. A field that started with roughly one hundred returning players has now been reduced to eleven finalists, who will be back tomorrow at 13:00 for the Final Day.

It was a session marked by constant swings, deep runs cut short, and several Italians in the mix from the very beginning, with momentum shifting repeatedly until the tournament finally found its closing lineup.

At the top of the count there is once again the same player who dominated the early stages of this event: Gregory Grech, the French-Tunisian chip leader of Day 1C and overall leader of the tournament, who sealed his bag with 8,275,000 chips, a stack worth more than 80 big blinds at the restart.

Strong day also for the Italians Claudio Daffinà and Alessandro Confalone, who finished with the exact same count — 4,825,000 chips each — good for third and fourth place heading into the final session. Between them sits Fabian Motte, second in the provisional standings with 6,050,000, followed by international regular Simon Politovski, who closed at 4,350,000.

Among the other Italians still in the hunt, Luca Bernardi — known as BL, Forza Inter, and winner of the historic Alessandro De Mino event — will restart from 2,875,000, good for seventh in the standings. At the bottom of the count is Alessandro Orsi, who bags 1,400,000, around ten big blinds, and will attempt a comeback run toward the final table despite the short stack.

Below you will find the full seat redraw with complete chip counts, along with the link to the live blog for tomorrow’s Final Day.
