🇮🇹 Daniele D'Angelo tops Day1 D

Entries 436/ Left 84

Day1 D of the IPO Main Event was also archived, with a total of 436 entries today, taking another 84 players to Day 2. Considering all 4 flights played so far, we have 1,168 entries and 213 players sure to make it to Day 2.

We would like to remind you that from this year it is possible to pay the buy-in directly at this link https://poker.casinosanremo.it so as to reduce the queues at the cash desks as much as possible, especially in view of the weekend, which could hold some pleasant surprises in terms of numbers (and consequently prize pool)

Doing best of all today was Daniele D'Angelo (photo above), a regular from Liechtenstein since he has been living in Switzerland for the past twenty years, who was able to bag 786,000 chips, the biggest stack so far when all the Day1s are added up:

"I started from the first level and managed to climb well straight away, then a few ups and downs as always happens in tournaments but, in general, I had some very good crossovers. One spot in particular? I defend 6♥️ 5♥️ from BB against two players and on flop 4♥️ 7♣️ Q♥️, check check, he bets the flatter who has a lot of chips and I just call, Original Raiser goes all-in with a smaller stack, the other player also goes all-in and I play too.

At the showdown, I lost to the short but won a huge side pot! Afterwards, I won two coin-flips against shorter players and a closed chip leader. Hopefully, I'll do well over the next few days because it's still a long way off. My biggest shot? 7th place in Vegas for 54K."

The Top 5

In addition to chip leader Daniele D'Angelo, the names of Vittorio Ferrigno (529,000) and Cristian Dimitra (471,000), directly from the King's Casino in Rozvadov by way of exception, stand out.

Jacques Atlan (460,000) and Paleta Rastislav (443,000) close the Top 5. Below is the unofficial chip count with all 84 qualifiers from Day1 D.

Unbelievable but true, Simone Locatelli wins his third Side Event here at the IPO festival out of three played, although this time it is a different variant from NLH. This time, however, by changing the number of hole cards, the result remains the same, and Locatelli can celebrate another fine victory after a six-way deal.

Super High Roller Mystery Bounty - Karim Radani wins

This was the first live joy for cash-gamer Karim Radani, who took home €21,242 (including bounty) after overturning an early disadvantage against Bruno Fitoussi in the final heads-up.

The Frenchman, however, can rejoice at having drawn the envelope containing the €10,000 bounty, guaranteeing himself an excellent reward despite the final debacle. Following the four players in the money.

  1. Karim Radani €21,242 (of which €10,800 in bounties)

  2. Bruno Fitoussi €16,490 (of which €10,000 in bounties)

  3. Ettore Esposito €3,940

  4. Federico Giai Baudissard €2,320
