Entries 469/ Left 50
The Day 1E of the PPTour Main Event with a guaranteed €500,000 here at King’s Resort in Rozvadov has just concluded, with a total of 344 players plus 125 re-entries, bringing the total number of entries for the first flight of the day to 469.
A total of 50 players advanced to Day 2, which will take place on Sunday afternoon, and they will be joined by all the qualifiers from the flights played over the previous days.
The best performer was an Italian, Marco Hallva (pic below), who bagged 1,096,000 chips, a stack that will allow him to resume play with 90 big blinds. Here’s what he told us at the end of the day:
"I had to stay calm because, being a very aggressive player, my opponents tried to make me tilt to force me into making mistakes. Let’s say this Day 1 was more of a challenge with myself than with the others. Yes, one bullet.
I recently started playing again, focusing on tournaments with an average buy-in of 10 euros. This is a little shot I allowed myself since I won the package. To be honest, the first satellite I played was for 1.50 euros, and now here I am… Let’s hope we can do this interview again in two days!"
The Top 5
In the second place, after Hallva, is the American Mustafa Kapusuzoglu, with 1,046,000 chips, followed by another Italian, Gianluca Mingolla, with 1,030,000.
The Czech players Marek Stefan, with 945,000, and Pavel Havranek, with 917,000, complete the top five. Below is the complete list of all 50 qualifiers from Day 1E.
