The first of Saturday's two flights has just finished, and 44 players have secured a seat for Day2 C, bringing the total to 103 after 4 Day1 qualifiers, pending the last two (the second flight of the day, Day1 K, and tomorrow's Turbo at midday).
Closing the heaviest envelope was the Dutchman Chun Chang (photo below), the only one to close above one million (1,005,500, to be precise) among the last four flights.
"Everything went right. I managed to build up a nice stack early on in the tournament, which allowed me to put pressure on my opponents from the start.
Otherwise, I always had the best hand, so it was easier to end the day at the top of the count: it was my first bullet, and I managed to qualify straight away, not bad! I play professionally but almost exclusively live."
The Top 5
Right behind the day's chip leader is Switzerland's Karo Nuri (842,000), followed in third by Vitalii Shcherba (550,000).
