The Remida Poker Team is back at the Perla Resort & Entertainment in Nova Gorica, the traditional Slovenian setting just a few steps from Italy. As expected, the start was at the highest level: over 40 teams lined up, with the concrete chance of reaching 50.

Thursday’s Day1A, offered in a special price format at €300, was warmly embraced by the first #pokerlovers to jump in. The results speak for themselves: 220 total entries and 68 players qualified for Sunday’s Day2. It’s worth noting that late registration is still available with the regressive formula, which allows players to re-enter going back two levels.

A strong start, not only with the €30,000 guaranteed for the winner, but also with the first crucial points for the team leaderboard, which awards a total of €35,000 to the Top 3 teams (€15,000 – €10,000 – €5,000).

Chipcount: Matteo Fortunato Leads at Full Power

The top of the count speaks Italian:

🥇 Matteo Fortunato – 577,000

🥈 Alessandro Longobardi – 489,000

🥉 Matej Kolar – 454,000

Just two big blinds away from the podium sits Claudio Di Giacomo with 447,000.

As tradition goes, a strong turnout from both Italian and Slovenian players. Big numbers are expected on Saturday, especially in the afternoon flight, which could prove decisive for the outcome of this Remida Poker Team edition.

At the other end of the leaderboard, regular Niki Prela bagged 22,000 after a tough final level. Despite the drop, Niki still secured his seat for Day2 and has already announced he’ll take advantage of the Stack Choice option starting from Day1B.

Team in action:

The official team list confirms the presence of many well-known names in the circuit: Andrea’s Poker, Olympic Mirano, SportBull (with multiple squads), Hold’em Firenze with 3 teams, Golden Gate, and again Andrea’s Poker.

Spotlights, however, are on a high-profile lineup: “Benelli and His Brothers”, featuring Andrea Benelli, Alessandro Scermino, Alessandro Longobardi, Angelo Benedetto, and Giuseppe Rosa. A squad packed with experience, trophies, and prestige, ready to put on a show.
