Day 3 of the WSP Circuit Main Event has just come to an end, bringing the eight finalists, starting from a field of 24 players, to the final table that will be played tomorrow at 1:00 PM.
The last elimination, quite a dramatic one, involved the Day 2 chip leader, Rostislav Savischenko from Ukraine. Left with 5.3 big blinds, he moved all-in from the small blind holding Q♥ 5♦, shoving into Birgaonu Andrei Iustin, who was in the big blind with K♦ 8♠ and decided to call despite having around 10 big blinds.
With blinds at 100,000 / 150,000 and a 150,000 ante, the players went to showdown.
The board ran out 9♠ J♣ 8♣ Q♣ K♠.
Birgaonu won the hand, climbed back to 17 big blinds, eliminated Savischenko in 9th place for €11,600, and officially sent the remaining players to the final table.
Here are the statements from the chip leader, Jose Gomez Casillas, who managed to accumulate 12 million chips, the equivalent of 79 big blinds at the restart at the end of the day.

t’s been a very exciting day. For about three or four hours I was basically just surviving, trying to hang in there. Then I got into a huge spot: I went all-in with Ace-King against pocket queens in a big flip and hit the king on the river. That hand completely changed my day.
After that, everything started to flow. I was able to apply pressure, win a lot of pots, and I pretty much took control of my table. From that moment on, my stack kept growing and I managed to build what I have now heading into the final table.
As for my biggest live score so far, it actually came about two months ago, right here during the WSOP Circuit, when I cashed for around €158,000. Of course, the goal now is to do even better. Winning a ring wouldn’t be bad at all.

Top 5
