To be honest, it did not come as a surprise.

Patrik Jaros’ victory unfolded exactly as many expected. Even though he did not start the Final Day atop the chip counts, his fourth-place position at the end of Day 2, only a few big blinds behind chip leader Jozef Cibicek, already suggested what was to come.

In the end, the Czech pro captured the €1,000,000 GTD La Notte degli Assi Main Event, taking home €94,000 following a four-way deal, plus the €23,500 reserved for the winner and the €780 already secured by reaching Day 2.

During the winner interview, Jaros highlighted the strength of the Romanian contingent, which accounted for roughly a third of the remaining field at the start of the Final Day.

“There were many strong and well-prepared players,” he explained. “But in situations like these, experience makes a huge difference. I’ve played many final tables and many big tournaments, and that definitely helped me.”

The tournament itself seemed to confirm his words.

Jaros controlled the Final Table from start to finish, although not without a key moment of fortune. On the Final Table bubble he eliminated one of the protagonists of the qualifying flights, Florin Daniel Bobu, who had been among the most consistent performers throughout the event. Bobu eventually collected €10,350 for his 10th-place finish, while Jaros entered the official Final Table as the clear chip leader.

The only moment in which the title appeared genuinely in doubt came during heads-up play against Sviatoslav Ivan Korolchuk. Despite representing Ukraine, Korolchuk has lived in Italy for more than twenty years and speaks fluent Italian. Primarily a cash-game player, he arrived at Rozvadov with virtually no significant live tournament results, his previous recorded cashes amounting to only a few hundred euros.

One of the biggest disappointments of the day belonged to Mousa. The Romanian has become a familiar face in the late stages of major King’s Resort events and once again appeared poised for a deep run after dominating much of the action early on. However, crucial pots against Bogdan Ionut Roman and later Gholamreza Ranaie gradually reduced his stack. He eventually finished eighth, collecting €16,800 plus the €3,000 King’s Million package and the €780 already secured.

When the field reached six players, discussions regarding a deal began, but no agreement could be reached. Jaros and Bogdan Ionut Roman, who was the shortest stack at the time, were among those unconvinced by the proposed numbers. Ironically, Roman doubled shortly after play resumed and went on to secure a much larger payout than seemed possible only minutes earlier.

Leandro Gaone was the next casualty, leaving in fifth place for €36,500, plus the €3,000 package and €780.

At four-handed play, the remaining competitors finally agreed on a deal. The arrangement guaranteed €76,000 to Korolchuk, €76,000 to Ranaie and €66,000 to Bogdan Ionut Roman, while Jaros retained the largest share and continued his pursuit of the trophy.

Heads-up began with Jaros holding roughly a two-to-one chip advantage. Korolchuk adopted a patient and disciplined approach, gradually recovering ground and bringing the duel back within reach. Then came the decisive confrontation.

With around 30 big blinds effective, Korolchuk picked up pocket queens against Jaros’ A-J. Despite being a substantial favorite before the flop, the board delivered an ace and completely reversed the situation. Neither the turn nor the river changed anything, leaving Korolchuk crippled with approximately three big blinds.

Forced all-in shortly afterward, he could not recover, and Jaros closed out the tournament moments later.

The victory marks Jaros’ second major EuroRounders title and further strengthens the résumé of a player already ranked among the most successful Czech tournament professionals.

“It means a lot to me,” Jaros said after the win. “Events like this have incredible value. For a €400 buy-in, players have a chance to win well over €100,000. Many professionals underestimate these tournaments. I’m very happy because winning another title in a huge field against strong opposition is something special.”

With that, Patrik Jaros added another trophy to his collection, while his Czech supporters followed the live stream until the very last hand, celebrating a victory that, in truth, felt inevitable long before the final card hit the felt.
