Entries 383/Left 48

Day 1F of the People’s Poker Tour Main Event is in the books, with 383 entries and 48 players punching their ticket to Day 2, scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

Topping them all is Wayne John Watson: the Brit bagged 1,350,000 chips, claiming not just the Day 1F chip lead, but also the overall lead in the tournament so far. An eccentric and eye-catching performance that earned him a quick chat with us at the end of the day.

"Yeah, I’m chip leader — overall, I think. It’s the biggest stack I’ve seen in these five days, at least.

The day went great, honestly. I actually played earlier today, but I busted at Level 15… like, 20 minutes before registering again. I jumped back in around Level 8, and from there it just went super smooth. Late reg again — worked out perfectly.

I loved it. The atmosphere, the structure — everything. I’ve been here a few times before, I really like the place.

Any big hands? To be honest, I pulled off quite a few bluffs — that’s probably the main thing I can say. The last one? Yeah, probably a bluff too. There were just too many, mate. But yeah, I also ran really well, just hit hands at the right time. From the moment I sat down, things just went my way.

No, I don’t play professionally — it’s just a hobby for me. Poker’s fun, that’s all. But yeah, I think this is the first time I’ve finished Day 1 as chip leader here.

When it goes well, it just flows, you know? Let’s hope it keeps going like this."

Two Italians are right behind Watson: Luca Carleone finished with 1,146,000, followed closely by Alejandro Lanza with 1,099,000 – both showing consistency and grit throughout the day.

The fourth spot goes to Rama Prema from the Czech Republic (925,000), followed by China’s Zhigang Mo, who closed with 909,000. Below is the full list of the 48 players who advanced to Day 2 from Day 1F.
