We are down to the final ten players in the Pirates Mystery Bounty Final Day, with blinds at 300,000/600,000 and a 600,000 ante. Gennaro Proscia, the overwhelming chip leader, holds over 45 million chips, surpassing the average stack of 16 million.
The next elimination will determine the nine finalists competing today. As previously mentioned, the Top Bounty has already been claimed. The remaining players are now vying for the €80,000 first-place prize and a €10,350 ticket for the upcoming WSOP Europe.
Below is the list of eliminations from the last two levels of play.
Mon 17 Nov - 19:00 - Dinner break with Prosia in the lead!
We’ve reached the second break of the day, a 30-minute dinner break, with 17 remaining players pausing before resuming at blinds of 200,000/400,000 with a 400,000 ante.
Gennaro Proscia stole the show in the last two levels, climbing from a stack of 7.5 million to become the chip leader with over 23 million chips. We asked the Italian how he managed to take the lead in the chip count, and here’s what he shared:
“I opened UTG with A-K, and UTG+1 3-bet. We were both deep-stacked, around 50BB (T300K with 15 million). I opened it to 600K, and he 3-bet it to 1.6M, and I called.
I could have gone all-in preflop, but the table was relatively easy, and I preferred to play a low-variance game, even out of position.
The flop came K-5-7 rainbow. I checked, and he checked back. I figured he had a value hand, so when the turn brought a 2, opening a flush draw, I decided to bet pot. I thought this was the street where I could extract maximum value. He called.
The river was a blank. I bet 60-70% of the pot, he thought for a while, then folded. That was the biggest pot I won, but I also took down many small pots.”
During the dinner break, German player Markus Reinhold Jordan claimed the top bounty of €75,000, consisting of €64,650 in cash and a €10,350 ticket to the WSOP Europe Main Event. Looking around the tables, another big stack emerges in Juan Velasco Farre, the Day 2 chip leader, with approximately 15 million chips.
A dramatic turn of events saw the elimination of Lulei Hu, who had led the chip count for long stretches. After claiming the top bounty, Hu began losing some key pots before finding himself all-in with pocket sevens against Proscia’s pocket aces.
Here are the last eliminations:
18. Lulei Hu – €2,940
19. Alexandru Arnautu – €2,940
20. Toni Ravnak – €2,940
21. Piotr Edward Pach – €2,490
22. Roland Weag – €2,490
23. Jelka Andelic – €2,490
