Entries 710/Left 89

Day 1G of the Shark Bay Main Event, with €1,000,000 guaranteed, was the busiest flight of the festival, attracting 710 entries and sending another 89 players through to Day 2, which begins tomorrow at 5 p.m.
Spotlight on Romanian player Florin Adrian Bilan, who closed the day with 1,731,000 chips, the only player of the weekend to bag over 1.7 million, and therefore the overall chip leader. Here is what he told us at the end of the day.

"Everything was good today. I had several significant hands and some big pots as well. More than seven... Value or bluff? Sometimes you need to bluff as well... I also managed some big calls.
This was my third bullet. My score recently has been pretty nice, and I’m happy with it for the moment. I still miss that one really big prize pool, but I hope for it. Tomorrow I’m starting from a good spot, so let’s see!"
Top 5
As for the top 5, alongside Bilan with 1,731,000, another Romanian, Bogdan Razvan Maciuca, ended with 1,011,000, followed by Fenix Bardai with 968,000.
Completing the top 5 are Czech player Jan Fiala with 965,000 and Italian Roberto Salvadori with 921,000. Up next will be the full list of the 59 Day 1G survivors, together with all Day 2 qualifiers.
