Fatos “KingfKings!” Haxhaj is the monster chip leader for the final day of the WSOP Circuit Mini Main Event at King’s Resort in Rozvadov.
Today at 2 PM, there will be 24 players left out of 1,602 entries competing for the most prestigious Ring of this live poker festival, running until January 13.
Haxhaj has 8,305,000 chips, with four players around 4 million in their stacks: young Czech Jan Tomsovic, German Oliver Ullrich, Austrian Faramarz Safari, and Macedonian Orhan Ljecaj. In sixth place is Gigetto Pignataro, who won a WSOPC Ring in Sanremo in the SuperStack in November 2023, with 3,425,000 chips for the final day.
Notably, Peter Cieslik, chip leader from Day 1F Turbo, bags 3,210,000 chips after 13 hours of play.
Daniele Trippi makes it to another final day after winning the People’s Poker Tour in December in Nova Gorica, with 2,995,000 chips.
Italy also sees Andrea Iocco, who finished just below average at 2.6 million.
Andro Scarpa has totaled 2,290,000 chips, featuring a dream quads Aces that we discussed in our blog. He rose to 3.8 million but then fell below average at the end of Day 2.
Sebastian Kotowicz dropped to 1,110,000 after eliminating Martin Kabrhel, having achieved many results in recent months.
The chip leader, however, mentioned that he has been quite unlucky in the last three months: “I’m due for some luck, and today I got everything I needed! Last year, I was the runner-up to Lukas Pazma in the same tournament (the buy-in was €250 and the prize pool was €670,000), and tomorrow I lead the 24 players left.
The most significant hand was when I defended with Q♣️2♣️ from the Big Blind against an open under the gun. The flop came down Q42 rainbow, and I check-called the first street. Turn J, still check-calling, then River 3, another check. My opponent jams 845,000, and I call. The opponent had AQ, and I won a pot of 2 million. Then I won almost all the hands.”
Play resumes at 2 PM with blinds at 50,000/100,000/100,000 and an average stack of 2,670,000. The first prize is €62,000, the next prize is €2,035, and the money jump at 23rd is €2,500.
