Mon 5 Jan - 21:50 - Heads-up starts Iocco vs Cheng!

The heads-up resumes with Andrea Iocco holding 41 million against Jinxuan Cheng with 23 million in front.

Blinds are 400,000/800,000/800,000, with a 1st prize of €62,000 and 2nd prize of €41,500!

Mon 5 Jan - 21:40 - Tomsovic out in 4th and Haxhaj in 3rd, but what a super hero call by Iocco against the Swiss player! We’re in heads-up!

Tomsovic was eliminated with 7BB, Q♦️ 5♦️ against Haxhaj's K♠️ 10♥️, who hits K♣️ as the first card on the flop, and Jan gets a 5♥️, but the turn and river seal the fate of the Czech player, who had the better hand.

Iocco shortens Haxhaj's lead in a spot with 5♥️ 3♣️ against the Swiss's A♥️ 10♦️. We reach the turn with Q♣️ Q♠️ 2♠️ 3♦️, and on the turn, Fatos bets 3.1 million and Iocco calls.

On the river 6♥️, the Swiss bets 4.5 million for a pot of 15.3 million, and Iocco uses 4 time banks and ultimately calls, winning! Fatos drops to 4.5M, and Iocco has 45BB with 36.3M total.

Then Fatos goes all-in with A♠️ 8♦️ for 4BB, and Chang calls with A♦️ 6♠️. Iocco also calls with 8♣️ 4♣️.

The runout: 5♦️ J♦️ Q♦️ 9♦️ 9♣️, Chang hits the nut flush, bets, Iocco folds, and we're in heads-up.

Last year, Haxhaj finished second; this time he takes third place for €29,500. Is the Ring out of reach for him?

Mon 5 Jan - 20:40 - 5 players left and a great balance at the final table!

Five players left with a 6BB difference between the stacks in play! The minimum cash is now €15,500!

Chip count:

Fatos Haxhaj 13.8M 27Bb

Jan Tomsovic 13.25M 27BB

Faramarz Safari 12.5M 25Bb

Andrea Iocco 12.2M  25Bb

Jinxuan Cheng 10.6M 21Bb

Mon 5 Jan - 20:15 - The 3 don’t save Gigetto Pignataro, out in sixth place for €11,500

In a blind vs blind situation, Luigi Pignataro jams 11BB with 3♠️3♣️ and the usual Fatos Haxhaj calls with A♦️10♦️.

The board confirms the Swiss player's dominance: 6♠️ A♣️ 6♣️ 2♥️ 6♥️.

Pignataro achieves another prestigious result but without a Ring this time: he takes home €11,500.

Mon 5 Jan - 19:30 - Daniele Trippi out in seventh place for €8,550

Daniele busted out in seventh place: “Today I was card dead all day and went all-in short with 66. Pignataro had KK and I was left with just a few blinds.”

Then he open jams with 10♦️ 9♠️, with about 2BB in front of him, and Fatos Haxhaj from the small blind 3-bets to 8M with A♣️ J♦️, forcing Jan Tomsovic, who had pocket 99, to fold.

The board doesn’t save Trippi, who is eliminated for €8,550.

Mon 5 Jan - 17:15, Final table set, Haxhaj is still the super chip leader, followed by Liebenwein and three Italians in the game

Mon 5 Jan - 16:30 - Trippi versus everyone: first loses against Tomsovic and then wins

Thirteen players left on the final day of the WSOPC Mini Main Event, with Daniele Trippi on a rollercoaster ride. He suffers a bad hit from Jan Tomsovic in a pot of 8 million. He could have risen to 11 million. At the level of 100,000/150,000/150,000, Tomsovic calls out of position on Trippi's 3-bet of 950,000.

On the flop: 7♦️3♦️8♠️, check, jam with A♦️10♦️ from Trippi, fold, and snap call from Tomsovic with 8♦️8♥️. The turn K♣️ and river 7♣️ do not help the Italian's flush draw.

Then, a mega pot with Iocco at the blinds 100,000/200,000/200,000. Trippi opens to 450,000 from UTG, Iocco calls from the button.

Flop: Q♦️2♥️8♦️ check/check

Turn: 9♦️ Trippi bets 450,000, Iocco calls

River: J♣️, check, 650,000 from Iocco, jam 2,525,000 from Trippi. Iocco goes into the tank and uses 4 time banks. Iocco calls.

Iocco: Q♠️J♠️

Trippi: 9♠️10♠️

Trippi rises to 7.5M, while Iocco drops to 7M.

Mon 5 Jan - 15:30 - Here are the two tables left: Haxhaj still on fire, Iocco rises at the table with Trippi and Pignataro

Sun 4 Jan - 00:00 - kingofkings1 is the super chip leader with 27 players left!

Level 50,000/100,000/100,000, 27/1,602 players left, 2.3M average stack.

The stack of KingofKings1, the Swiss player, continues to grow, now at 6.6M. With 40 players left, he was among the leaders with 3.8M.

Behind him is German player Oliver Ullrich with 5M at the same table as Jan Tomsovic with 4.8M, Daniele Trippi at 3.2M, and Andrea Iocco down to 1.6M.

In an Italian battle: Trippi opens from the cutoff for 175,000 at the T60,000 level. Iocco 3-bets to 500k, and Trippi folds. Just arriving at the table, Daniele Trippi lost a pot against Ullrich: “I had 4M and hit a flush draw on the flop, bet, and the German called with a gutshot. On the turn, he completes the straight, and I lose the hand. If the gutshot card had come and completed my flush draw, I would have been the chip leader.”

Peter Cieslik has 4.5M and many short stacks: Antonio Iannei will have 7BB after the break.

Out in 28th place are Wout Sanders, Philipp Doehling, Boyan Toshev, and Benjamin Altun for €2,035. Fabian Rolli dropped to 34th and Christopher Campisano to 35th for €1,685.

Sun 4 Jan - 23:05 - Chip count! Andro Scarpa with four of a kind!

Level 30,000/60,000/60,000, 40/1,602 players left, 1.6M average stack.

The game will stop at 24 players left for the final day tomorrow. Among the 40 players left in Day 2, there are many super stacks.

Here’s the count:

Luigi Pignataro: 1.5M

Jinxuan Cheng: 1.5M

Daniele Trippi: 1M

Christopher Campisano: 1M

Berenike: 800k

Antonio Iannei: 650k

Daniele Trippi is experiencing an up and downswing. He first drops to 200k, then rises back to 1 million. He lost a hand against Berenike, who shoves from the button with A6 vs Trippi's QJs. The Italian player has a flush draw, but his opponent hits trips on the board. Then he faced a short stack with KJs of diamonds, losing another 7BB.

The highlight of the evening is the Swiss player Andro Scarpa. He open jams from the cutoff for 600k, and Scarpa calls from the BB.

Short stack: K♣️J♣️

Scarpa: A♦️J♥️

The flop gives four Aces to the Swiss player, who goes up to 3.5M chips: A♥️A♠️K♦️A♣️10♥️

This was the decisive spot: under the gun opens 88 for 16,000, I call from the button, raise from late position to 60,000, I 4-bet jam, and the 3-bettor calls. I have AA vs 88 vs 99. The Aces hold, and I soar in the count.”
