The šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø Pirate’s Poker Treasure Main EventĀ has come to an end after an intense and demanding Final Day, closing a week of action just days before Christmas. The tournament drew a massive 1,531 total entries, confirming once again the appeal of this festival at King’s Resort.

The title goes to Romanian player Stefan Alexandru Drusca, who claims his second EuroRounders CLUBĀ after an outstanding run. Drusca was a constant presence near the top of the chip count from the end of Day 1 all the way through the Final Day, maintaining control and composure at every crucial stage of the tournament.

The Final Table

The heads-up play saw Stefan Drusca face Daniele Sacchi, who finishes as an excellent runner-up and further confirms his strong momentum in Mystery BountyĀ events. Just a few weeks ago, Sacchi had already made headlines with a third-place finish worth €120,000 at the EPT Prague Mystery Bounty, one of the biggest tournaments on the European Poker Tour schedule. This second deep run in such a short span underlines a particularly hot streak.

The final duel concluded after a private ICM deal, reached with Drusca holding the chip lead at the time of the agreement. The two players left a small portion of the prize pool — along with the trophy — to be played for. After a heads-up lasting just under an hour, the trophy ultimately ended up in Drusca’s hands.

Third place goes to Helmut Phung, one of the tournament’s standout protagonists, not only for his deep run but also for his incredible luck in the Mystery BountyĀ phase. Phung managed to pull the €45,000 top bounty, along with several other significant prizes, including at least two €4,500 bounties, making his overall result particularly impressive.

Less fortunate was Lulei Hu, the Italian-Chinese regular who entered the Final Day among the favorites. Despite another strong showing in a massive field — continuing a streak that has seen him reach final tables consistently — Hu exited in seventh place for €18,400, plus a few consolation bounties.

Fourth place belongs to Youssef Aananouch, who collects €37,000Ā after a very solid performance. Szymon Patryk PolitowskiĀ finishes fifth for €29,700, confirming his form after having already dominated the Turbo Flight earlier in the event. In sixth place, Dominique PotenzaĀ takes home €23,500; known on the live stream by his nickname ā€œDon Giovanni Casanovaā€, he can certainly be satisfied with his run.

The final two spots at the table were claimed by Deep Khandra Singh, eighth for €14,000, and Victor Guillaume Alban Pahon, ninth for €9,900. Notably, Pahon is already a former EuroRounders winner, adding another deep run to his rĆ©sumĆ©.

All top ten finishersĀ also earned a €3,000 package for the upcoming King’s Million, while the unfortunate bubble boy was Giovanni Basta, who exited in tenth place for €7,900, including the ticket. Basta will leave with some regret, having built a strong stack earlier thanks to a key triple-up at the 15-left stage, a Final Table that felt within reach.

In his post-victory interview, Stefan Alexandru DruscaĀ summed up the experience with honesty:

ā€œIt was a crazy tournament and it comes at the end of a really terrible year at the tables. That’s part of a grinder’s life. I’m very happy, not only for the money — which is obviously important — but also for the trophy. We play for money, yes, but also for emotions, and winning trophies always means a lot.

Now I’ll take a short break, celebrate with friends, and then next year it’s back to work here at King’s, back to grinding as always.ā€
