Here we are once again at King’s Resort Rozvadov, ready to bring you the full coverage of another incredible event: the IPS - Italian Poker Sport 58th edition organised by Euro Rounders!.
With a €380 buy-in and a massive €1,500,000 guaranteed prize pool, the tournament is already underway.
Play continues down to 10% of the entries, and those players will qualify for Day 2. The remaining 15%, meanwhile, will make the money, with a minimum cash of €760.
Day 2 is scheduled for Sunday, August 30 at 5 p.m., and the same day will also feature Day 1H Turbo and the Flip and Go Pineapple events.
The maximum number of re-entries per flight is set at two buy-in.

Andy Bauer continues to extend his lead. The final table has been reached after two eliminations at the unofficial table.
Following Andrea Scarrone’s elimination (picture) at the TV table, Matej Fendrich eliminated Dutchman Edwin Jonkman, who became the bubble player for one of the 10 packages to the King’s Million Poker Festival. Jonkman’s A-K failed to hold against T-T suited.
Bauer then eliminated Sapir Dym with K-Q against K-J, with the board changing nothing. The Israeli player takes home €12,540 and the €3,000 package.

Alessio Liscia keeps climbing at the TV table, now up to more than 23M chips and sitting in 14th place. Still on the live stream, we lose Josef Ahmed. Fabito eliminates him with J7 against K2, with a Jack appearing on the board. The Somali player takes home €7,140.
Over at the feature table, Andrea Scarrone first loses a hand against Ionut Chisca, with QQ against AA, dropping to 5M while the Romanian climbs to 9M.
The Italian then recovers, moving back up to 10M.

The board ran out 2♠️9♣️K♦️K♣️7♠️, sending Szunyoghy to the rail in 17th place for a €5,365 payday.
The field has now redrawn to two tables following the elimination of Davide Muccitelli in 16th place, also for €5,365.
The 15 players still in contention have locked up at least €7,140 each.
Italy’s two remaining players are both in excellent shape: Andrea Scarrone has surged to 18M, while Alessio Liscia sits on 13.5M, right around the average stack.

Wenyuan Tang has been eliminated in 21st place, falling to Germany’s Andy Bauer, who has now climbed to 26M after dominating for much of yesterday’s Day 2.
With just over 10 big blinds, Tang open-jammed A♠️4♦️ from early position. Bauer called from the button with J♠️J❤️. The board that sent Wenyuan to the rail for a €3,965 payday ran out: 4♠️5♣️5♠️7♦️8♣️.
Czech top reg Michal Market was then eliminated in 20th place, followed by Hristo Dimitrov in 19th and Ralf Sondermann in 18th. All three players collect €5,365.

Romanian player Ionut Chicca moves above average and is now sitting on 10.8M, while Andy Bauer is ahead with 12.3M. Abdellah Baali has 8.8M.

Israeli Shalom Halal now leads the field with 13M, picking up a lot of chips from Italy’s Alessio Liscia, who drops to 2.5M.
“I lost a bluff to the chip leader on 4-4-6-6-Q. I put in 2.6M into a 2.6M pot for a pot-sized bet, but he called with 77. Then I flopped a set of sixes against Higuita’s straight. Finally, I doubled up with 99 vs AJ and got back to 2.5M.”
Algerian Baali is up to 8.5M, while Lulei Hu drops to 2.3M.

Ukrainian Divino crashes down to 1M against Ionut Chisca, who now climbs to 8.3M. The Romanian flopped a set of Kings, moving above average.
Luciano Frezza is out in two hands. He explains his elimination in a squeeze spot with AQ vs AK: “AK opens, there are three calls and I squeeze to 3M. I get called and I’m out of the tournament.” Just before that, he had dropped from over 5M to 3M in another spot that can be seen on the live stream.
For Italy, Lulei Hu is still in with 8.5M, Alessio Liscia has 7M and Davide Muccitelli has 6.5M at the TV table.

A crazy start to the day for German player Cano01, who has moved up from 4.4M at the start of Day 2 to 7.4M and, after an hour and a half of play, is now sitting on 10M—more than three times the average.
Michal Mrakes emerges, the top Czech reg who eliminates an opponent with A10 versus A5, hitting a ten on the river as well, and moves up to 4.6 million.
Short-stacked but still in the tournament is Yosef Ahmed, the former Somali footballer.
We lose Italian player Lollolollo66 after an extremely tough Day 2, during which he was short-stacked throughout. He finishes in 68th place for €1,415 more than the min-cash.
Left with 14 big blinds, the Italian jams from the button over a cutoff open with KJs versus Q10, and the flop comes Q-10-6 with two clubs. Lollo has the clubs and the aces, but two bricks on the turn and river do not change the outcome.
At the same table are Luciano Frezza and Riccardo Saraniero. They have clashed in a couple of spots, and in one of them Frezza gets half his stack in, as you can see in the hand featured on the Euro Rounders Instagram channel.
Luciano check-calls in a button-versus-BB dynamic and eventually wins with Ks2s versus 5h8h on an ace-high board with only two hearts on the texture.
Saraniero is now sitting at half the average, while Frezza climbs back to 5M!

The players are bagging up at the end of Day 2. Pending the official chip count, the battle for the chip lead is between Algerian player Abdellah Baali, on 6.6M, and Greek player Pavlos Tomasz, on 6.1M. Both are at the same table, where Alessio Liscia and lollolollo66 were also seated.
Liscia found the hand of the night during the final half-hour of play, taking his stack up to 3.7M for Day 3.
Mr X opened to 125,000 from UTG. Andrea Scarrone called from the hijack, as did Liscia with Q♣️10♣️.
Flop: A-K-2 — everyone checked.Turn: J — Mr X bet 225,000, Scarrone called, and Liscia raised to 475,000. Both opponents called.River: 4 — check, check, Liscia bet 595,000. Mr X folded, while Scarrone called and mucked his hand.

Davide Muccitelli’s stack has decreased. He won a 3-bet pot uncontested preflop for 300,000 against the short-stacked Danut Grundza, who folded to a 400,000 continuation bet on a 10♠️-6♣️8♠️ flop.
Luciano Frezza bagged 4M, while lollolollo66 finished with 1.3M.
Mon 31 Aug 03:15 - Preda out after reaching 5 million! Divino climbs to 5.6 million!

Fulvio Preda finished in 88th place, earning an additional €930, but with great disappointment after having climbed to 5 million chips—more than twice the average stack.
This was the decisive hand: Divino opened from the button with J-J, and Preda 3-bet from the small blind with 9-9. The Ukrainian player then moved all in with a 4-bet, and Fulvio called. The board ran out without any surprises, leaving Preda short-stacked.
He then lost another million chips after an unsuccessful hero call with ace-high, and was eliminated shortly afterward as a short stack.
Divino has climbed to 5.6M. At the same table, Luciano Frezza has 4.7M, putting him among the chip leaders. Hu Lulei, the 2025 EPM winner who has also recorded numerous results across Europe, is doing well too, now sitting on 4.5M.

Turn: A ❤️ Saraniero bet 225,000, and Galiana called.
River: 9♠️ Galiana fired a third barrel for 325,000. Saraniero made a snap-call and showed A♣ K♥, beating J❤️ 3❤️.
The Spanish player was left stunned.

Davide Muccitelli has climbed to a 5-million-chip stack, while Fulvio Preda has also moved up to 4.1 million. Unfortunately, we lose Leonardo Ludovisi, who qualified through the first IPS starting flight.
After being card-dead for most of the day, he was eliminated in a preflop all-in with A-J against pocket tens.
Muccitelli is clearly one to watch, but there are still plenty of big stacks to follow with one and a half levels remaining before the end of Day 2.
Tomasz remains on 4.3 million, with Andreas Eller on 4.1 million. Meanwhile, Korean player Inhato has moved up to 3.4 million, while Chinese player Din has dropped to 1.5 million. At lollolollo66’s table, Mr X, the Swedish player, is still in contention with 3.3 million.
Hu Lulei continues to ride the roller coaster, moving up from 2 million to 2.5 million, although his stack has been fluctuating constantly. Antonio Iannei is hanging on with 1.7 million, right around the average.
Riccardo Saraniero has slipped back to an average stack after losing two big pots. In one of the hands, Andreas Eller held KK and beat Ricky’s pair of TT on the river.

Gerard Bauer has moved to the top of the leaderboard, overtaking vierviervier, with 3.7M against 3.5M. Fulvio Preda follows, fluctuating between 3.3M and 3.5M.
The big news is Hu Lulei’s comeback, climbing from 800K to 3.3M. A decisive hand was a set of jacks against AK and KK in a monster pot, bringing the 2025 EPM winner back among the leaders.
Another comeback came from lollolollo66, who rose from 180K to 1.7M, while Luciano Frezza has 1.6M with the average stack at 1.3M. Riccardo Saraniero is also on 1.7M after losing a million-chip pot by folding QQ when his opponent claimed to have QQ.

Still leading the 191 players left is vierviervier, with more than 4 million chips. However, Italy’s Fulvio Preda has climbed to 3.6 million by outplaying Poland’s Sebastian Kotowicz.
We arrive on this spot: 4♣️Q♦️3♠️J♠️6❤️. Kotowicz comes in for 125,000 from the BB, and Preda, who had opened from UTG, goes all in. The Polish player has 500,000 behind and folds. Fulvio climbs to 3.6 million chips, winning a huge pot.
At Riccardo Saraniero’s table, he has 1.8M, the Chinese player Din has 2.2M, while the Korean player Inhato has 2M. Hu Lulei is below average.
Captain Dirk climbs again to 2.5M, but Ahn Vu Le moves back up to 2.6M after the hand he lost against the German. Michaela Eichberger remains deep at 2.3M.

An incredible, marathon hand featured a huge call by Captain Dirk against Ahn Vu Le. The German climbed to 2.3 million chips, while the Vietnamese player dropped significantly from 2.7 million to 2 million.
Le opened from middle position, and Captain Dirk three-bet to 85,000 from the hijack. Le then four-bet to 195,000, and Dirk called.
Flop: 7♣️2♦️4♦️ Dirk checked, Le bet 150,000, and Dirk called.
Turn: 10♦️ Le checked, and Dirk checked behind.

There has been a change at the top: Czech player UNAVENEJ is now leading the field with 290,000 chips. Germany’s Roschdi Haves is next with 240,000, followed by Romania’s Cristian Cirja on 190,000.
Other notable stacks? With the average stack standing at 100,000 at blinds of 1,000/2,000/2,000, Daniele Santaniello—who made his mark in the record-breaking Euro Poker Million—is above average, as is Szilvia Popper with 125,000 chips. Andy Gab is also still in the tournament.
