The return of the Balkan Poker Circuit at the Perla Resort & Entertainment in the summer edition, with a guaranteed prize pool of €100,000, features a regressive structure that schedules the final day directly on Sunday with the option to play it all in one day.
Monday, August 5, 5:30 AM - Alessio “AleAsto2” Astone is the new BPC champion
After a long 4-handed phase where there were no conditions for a deal, the elimination of Cojaniz reopened the possibility for ending hostilities, but it was only an illusion, and the game continued. Only the clock, fatigue, and especially the potential for a forced ICM deal at 6:00 AM convinced the remaining 3 players to agree to a deal, which awarded Alessio Astone (aleasto2) the trophy and €18,000.
2^ Position: Kovačič Tim (€16.700 dopo deal a 3)
3^ Position: Jerney Škorjanc (€15.300) dopo deal a 3
4^ Position: Davide Cojaniz (€7400)
5^ Position: Śijan Dane (€6100)

Here is the starting lineup:

The bubble bursts at the Balkan Poker Circuit. There are 45 positions that will receive prizes, and it takes 4 hands to determine the last non-prize elimination, the one that, as always, hurts the most; the protagonist is Andrea Bracciali, who went all-in with AJ against Niccolò Cadoni’s QQ. A hand that leaves the Tuscan player with few chances, remaining with 18x, and the Q on the flop indeed marks the end of his tournament and puts everyone else in the money.

Sunday 4th August 17:30
Registrations are closed for this Final Day of the BPC Balkan Poker Circuit; the four flights combined with the “regressive” entry total 447 entries for a prize pool of €132,620.
The tournament is progressing with an average of 40BB, and within a few levels, the selection has already begun; 57 players remain, with notable eliminations including: Antonio Crocetta, Giovanni Bellini, Diego Testa, “DJ Dave” Nutarelli, and Wissam Ourtani. In the next update, we will provide an overview of the main stacks as we approach the bubble; the payout positions are 45.
Sunday 4th August 13:30
It’s time for Day 2, but not for final numbers. There are 95 qualifiers at the start, but we resume at level 1000/2000 with 4 levels available for late registration. Below is the redraw.
Sunday 4th August 02:35
The Day1D and the last flight of this BPC has concluded; the clock shows 8 survivors out of 47 entries. Like all flights that offer chipleader bonuses, there were twists and turns towards the end, although today it can be said that all the hands were legitimate and conditioned by unavoidable intersections. The standout player was Niki Prela, who finished with an emblematic stack of 666,000, earning him the nickname “the devil.” Once again, he earned a bonus, but not for first place, because, in a stunning turn of events, Nicholas Petteno leads by less than 1BB (670,000).
The bonus for the third stack was decided 3 hands before the end between Roberta Lucia Carlotta Stagni and “DJ Dave” Nutarelli, who went all-in with KK and AK respectively, crippling Nutarelli, who finished with 63,000.
All the details are in today’s report. See you at 13:30 for Day2, with 4 levels of late registration.
Saturday 3td August 23:59
With Day 1C closed with 34 left out of 126 entries, only Day 1D remains open, offering a bonus for the top 3 chipleaders (€3000, €2000, €1000). The eighth level of play is currently underway with 20 left out of 43 entries. For details on Day 1C, we refer you to the report, and later we will also have the results from Day 1D with the redraw for Day 2, which, as a reminder, allows for regressive entry for 4 levels.
Saturday 3td August 20:30
While Day 1C is on a dinner break with 50 left out of 121 entries, Day 1D with chipleader bonuses (€6,000 for the top 3) has begun. There are currently about twenty entries, but it is still early, and the chipleader bonus opportunity will surely be taken advantage of.
Meanwhile, the provisional prize pool has exceeded €111,000 with today’s flights open and entry to Day 2 regressive for 4 levels tomorrow.
Saturday 3td August 17:20
What a Saturday at BPC! The 100 entries mark has been surpassed, the guarantee practically reached, and an interesting field with new arrivals and re-entries from yesterday; Niki Prela, Benelli, and Pescaglini are trying again, but there are several interesting names. We’ll mention just a few while waiting for the break to get some counts: Pispicia, Capannoli, Choi, Crocetta.
Saturday 3td August 14:30
Day 1C Shuffle Up & Deal! A good start for the third flight of the BPC €100,000 GTD, which immediately exceeds 40 entries in the first level with many players still arriving. There are numerous arrivals today, including the “crew” with Macis, Mozzini, the group from the Golden Gate of Arezzo (Gregorace), Roberto Roberti, Danilo Colomba, and Diego Testa.
Saturday 3td August 00:20
During level 8 (1000/2000), registrations stabilized at 164 (partial) with 66 players left. Significant eliminations include Andrea Benelli and Cecilia Pescaglini, who will likely re-enter tomorrow. Notable stacks at the moment include the usual Niki Prela, Jessy Chiarlitti, and, fresh off his High Roller EPM victory, Wissam Ouertani. In a fantastic 2024, he has expressed a desire to achieve a new goal: winning the coveted Euro Rounders flower. And he is not wrong, as the flower is reserved for the winners of the Main Events, and the High Roller EPM, with over €487,000 in prize money, is essentially one.
Friday 2nd August 21:00
First break of the day with the clock showing 84/122, the game will resume with level 5 (500/1000); there is a good turnout in the poker room and a strong presence of regulars from the Perla and the EuroRounders circuit.
They will play 11 levels, up to 2500/5000, with late registration open.
The usual Friday side event, PLO 8-Max, has also started, with two tables dedicated to lovers of the four-card game.
Friday 2nd August 19:00
Day 1B shuffle up & deal, an excellent start for the second flight of the Balkan Poker Circuit with over 50 entries, which, combined with the over 90 entries from the deep stack that started at 4:00 PM, offer an impressive sight in the poker room.
