Are you ready for another exciting tournament weekend at the Perla Resort in Nova Gorica?
As we move into the second weekend of December, all eyes are on the People’s Poker Tour Main Event, featuring a €350 Special Price buy-in and €500 Full Price.
The first four starting flights are already in the books, and we’re now set to bring you full coverage straight from the Main Room of the Perla Resort & Entertainment, beginning with Day 1E.

Mon 15 Dec - 02:30 - Level 25 is underway with 12 players remaining.

Blinds are 80,000/160,000 with a 160,000 ante, and the average stack sits at 4.5 million chips.
Out in front is Dario Guarnuto, currently the chip leader with around 9 million chips. Chasing him is Andrea Benelli, who has climbed to 6.5 million and remains firmly above average.
Still in the mix are Wissam Ouertani and Daniele Trippi, both holding stacks of approximately 4 million chips, right around the tournament average. Mario Galić continues to resist with a short stack, sitting at roughly 10 big blinds.
Play continues with the field tightening as the tournament moves deeper into the late stages.
Mon 15 Dec - 02:30 - 21 left on Main Event, bubble-time on the side!

Level 23 is currently in progress, with 21 players still at the tables.
Blinds are 50,000/100,000 with a 200,000 ante, and the average stack stands at 2.7 million chips.
At Table 28, Wissam Ouertani is sitting with just over 3 million chips, slightly above average, after recently losing a big pot that cost him around one million from his previous stack. Still in contention is Alia Besirevic, a familiar presence here at the Perla Resort, holding more than 3 million chips.
Mario Galić continues to survive with a short stack, while Andrea Pennelli has moved back into contention at Table 29, now playing with an above-average stack. At the same table sits the Day 1H chip leader, currently reduced to just under 10 big blinds.
Mon 15 Dec - 00:15 - 44 left on the Final Day!

Level 21 is currently underway here at the Perla Resort & Entertainment, with blinds at 30,000/60,000 and a 60,000 ante.
The average stack is around 1,300,000 chips, and 40 players remain in contention for the €50,000 first prize.
Among the players still in action is regular Alia Besirevic, holding roughly 2,000,000 chips, well above the tournament average. On the other end of the spectrum, Domenico Cancro is very short, with just over 10 big blinds left. Still in the field are also Mario Galić and Luca Quillichini, all currently sitting below average stack.
Play is set to continue late into the night. Meanwhile, the Sunday side event has reached the break at Level 13, with 31 players remaining out of 133 entries. The prize pool currently stands at €25,562.
Sun 14 Dec - 21:45 - 74 left on Day2, Wissam Ouertani rises in the Top 5!

Level 19 is currently underway, with 28 minutes remaining before the end of the level.
There are 75 players still in action out of a total of 955 entries.
Blinds are 10,000/30,000 with a 30,000 ante, and the average stack sits at 764,000 chips.
Among the stacks in good shape is Wissam Ouertani, holding roughly three times the tournament average, along with Domenico Cancro, who is sitting on a very similar stack. Several regulars of the circuit remain in contention, including Luca Quillichini, currently playing around the average.
Niki Prela, who started the day with 800,000 chips, is now up to around 1,000,000, slightly above average. Maria Elena Giunchi (head pic) is still in the field with approximately 25 big blinds, while plenty of other contenders continue their run.
Meanwhile, the €200 Super Sunday has reached 205 entries and currently counts 69 players still seated at the tables.

Break update from the poker room here at the Perla Resort.
Players have just returned from the break, with Level 16 still in progress and Level 17 set to begin in about 10 minutes.
Current blinds are 6,000/12,000 with a 12,000 ante, and the average stack is around 500,000 chips.
The schedule calls for three more levels to be played before the next break.
First prize in the Main Event remains set at €50,000.
Meanwhile, the €200 side event has just started and is now in Level 2.
The field currently counts 72 entries, with 72 players still in action.
Blinds are 200/400 with a 400 ante, and the prize pool has already passed €13,000.
Sun 14 Dec - 18:15 - Approaching the second day break!

As we write, Level 15 is underway in Day 2 of the People’s Poker Tour Main Event.
A 20-minute break is scheduled in about 20 minutes.
Blinds are 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 ante, and there are 138 players still in action out of a total of 955 entries.
The average stack sits at 415,000 chips.
The official payout structure has just been published at the top of the live blog, with €50,000 reserved for first place.
At the same time, action is starting in the Super Sunday, which is getting underway right now. The event has 18 players registered so far, and late registration is open.
Sun 14 Dec - 15:00 - Davide Laritonda is the Day1 L chip leader; Final Day is about to begin!

Davide Laritonda stole the spotlight in the morning Day 1L Turbo, finishing among the 25 players who advanced from the final available flight of this festival.
In total, 270 players have qualified for Day 2 out of 955 entries, generating a €300,817 prize pool, net of the chip leader bonuses already awarded.

Francesco Cassano tops the count in Day 1I of the People’s Poker Tour Main Event.

Sat 13 Dec - 00:30 - 52 left on Day1 I!

Level 8 is currently underway in the second flight scheduled today, with 52 players still in action out of 88 total entries. Late registration remains open for three more levels, including the current one. The average stack is now 100,000 chips, about 40,000 above the starting stack.
There are three more levels to be played before the final break of the day, after which the tournament will resume for the last level of play.
Sat 13 Dec - 21:30 - Donato De Bernardis tops Day1 H!

Donatello De Bernardis stole the spotlight in Day 1H of the People’s Poker Tour Main Event, bagging the biggest stack of the flight with just under 700,000 chips. A total of 84 players advanced to the next stage out of 257 entries.
Meanwhile, action is on break in Day 1I, which has currently registered 72 entries, with 58 players still in the field. Blinds are 500/1,000, ante 1,000, and the average stack sits at around 100,000 chips, slightly above the starting stack.

Sat 13 Dec - 18:30 - Over 250 entries on Day1 H!

We’ve reached Level 7, and players have just returned from the break. Blinds are now up to 800/1,600, ante 1,600, as Day 1H continues with 170 players still in action out of 233 total entries so far. Late registration remains open for three more levels, with an average stack of 82,000 chips. There is currently a waiting list at the cashier, confirming the strong turnout.
Everything is also set for the second flight scheduled today, Day 1I, which has already attracted more than 50 registered players. It’s shaping up to be a particularly busy and lively Saturday here at the Perla Resort.
Sat 13 Dec - 15:15 - "Full house" on Day1 H!

We’re checking in during Level 4 here at the Perla Resort & Entertainment, with 120 players currently seated out of 123 total entries. The average stack is, as expected at this stage, just slightly above the starting stack. Blinds are 300/600, ante 600, and play will continue for two more levels before the first break of the day.
As usual, late registration remains open for the first 10 levels. Later this evening, at 7:00 PM, action continues with the second flight scheduled for today, Day 1E.

With 404,000 chips, Vincenzo Bevilacqua tops the chip count at the end of Day 1G.

Sat 13 Dec - 01:00 - 9th level on Day1 G!

Level 9 is currently underway in the Poker Room at the Perla Resort for Day 1G, which has registered 60 entries so far, with 28 players still in action. Blinds are at 1,000/2,000, with a 1,000 small blind ante and a 3,000 big blind ante, and the average stack stands at 124,000 chips, just over double the starting stack.
Play will continue for two more levels beyond the current one before the final break of the day, which will also mark the closure of late registration. After the break, players will return for the last level of the day, with bagging expected around 3:30 a.m.

Day 1F of the People’s Poker Tour Main Event has just wrapped up, with 46 players qualifying out of a total of 164 entries.
Giovanni Bellini tops the chip count, bagging 750,000 chips.

Fri 12 Dec - 19:15 - Two flight underway!

Level 7 has just begun here at the Perla Resort in Nova Gorica, with blinds at 800/1,600, ante 1,600, and an average stack of 89,000 chips. There are currently 97 players still in action, with the entry counter sitting at 144 entries so far. Late registration and re-entries remain open for four more levels, so plenty of time still available to join the field.
At the same time, the second of today’s two scheduled flights has just kicked off. Day 1G has started with 28 entries, players are now in Level 1 with blinds 100/200, a 60,000 starting stack, and action will continue for four levels before the first break of the day.
Fri 12 Dec - 17:15 - Approaching the first break on Day1 F!

First update from the poker room at the Perla Resort, where Day 1F has just reached its first break of the day. The flight has recorded 119 entries, with 100 players still seated at the tables. Players are completing the final minutes of the current level, with blinds at 400/800, ante 800, and an average stack of 71,400 chips.
Everything is also set for the second flight scheduled today, Day 1G, which will get underway at 7:00 PM.

Fri 12 Dec - 02:30 - End of late reg!

Late registration is about to close — just five minutes remain as we write this update. A total of 108 entries have been recorded in this flight, counting both initial buy-ins and re-entries, and 39 players are still in the field as Level 10 plays out.
We’re currently at blinds 2,000/4,000, but Level 11 is right around the corner with blinds moving to 2,000/5,000 and a 5,000 ante. The average stack is 166,000 chips, up from the 50,000 starting stack.
Players will complete one more level before the final break of the day, after which the last two levels will lead directly to bagging.
Fri 12 Dec - 00:30- 103 entries at the 8th level!

It’s just past midnight here at the Perla Resort, where the Main Event has reached Level 8. Blinds are 1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 ante for another fifteen minutes. There are 58 players still in the field out of a total of 103 entries, with late registration open until the end of Level 10.
The average stack stands at 106,000 chips, and players will go through two more levels before the next scheduled break.
As for the €120 Knockout event, it wrapped up about an hour ago. We don’t have any comments from the winner — partly out of shyness, partly due to inexperience — as he preferred not to give an interview.
Thu 11 Dec -22:00 - Over 80 entries after the first break!

Play has resumed after the first break of the day at the Perla Resort in Nova Gorica, with 67 players still seated out of a total of 82 entries. The average stack is now 73,000 chips, up from the 60,000 starting stack, and blinds are at 500/1,000, ante 1,000. There are still two more levels — plus the remainder of the current one — before the second break of the day.
As for the Knockout, only 10 players remain in the chase for the €1,000 first prize. The event closed with 48 entries, and the average stack is now 62,000 chips, with blinds at 5,000/10,000, ante 10,000. Action is expected to continue for roughly a couple more hours.
Thu 11 Dec -19:30 - 35 entries at the first level!

Live update from the Perla Resort in Nova Gorica, where Day 1D of the People’s Poker Tour Main Event is underway. The flight has recorded 35 entries so far, with the tournament having started about half an hour ago. Blinds are 100/200, ante 200, and the average stack remains identical to the starting one, as no eliminations have been recorded yet. The next break is scheduled in roughly two hours.
A reminder that today the Chip Leader Bonuses are active: combining the Day 1D and Day 1E qualifiers, the promotion awards €3,000 to the top chip leader, €2,000 to second place, €1,000 to third, and €1,000 to fourth.
Running alongside the Main Event is the €120 Knockout, which guarantees €1,000 to the winner. The event currently counts 47 entries, with 29 players still seated.
